If you do not know how to use a condom properly than the potential benefits that they offer will decrease dramatically. So what is the proper condom application method?

The first thing that you need to know before condom application is to store your condom properly. It is not a good idea to keep a condom in your wallet for an extended amount of time. If you place your wallet in your back pocket, the heat from your body may break down the latex in the condom and cause it to weaken.

So once you have a condom that has been properly stored, you can begin condom application. Be careful to gently push the condom down in the package so that you can rip open the package without fear of tearing the condom. Place it on the tip of the penis shaft with the tip of the condom facing up and the rolled ring facing away for the penis. Gently squeeze the air from the tip of the condom as you gently roll the latex down the shaft of the penis. Most condoms come pre-lubricated, so you should not have to add any additional lubricant. Do not use petroleum jelly or baby oil as that may cause the latex in the condom to break down and render the condom useless.
